We are a well established and locally owned practice that provides innovative, forward thinking and quality services that help children and families to thrive.  We believe that all children, regardless of their abilities or differences, have value and should be given the opportunity to realise that value. We work in a collaborative and family-centred model with a focus on function, participation and fun!

Our founder, Emily Hayles, is a highly experienced and renowned physiotherapist who continues to be hands on in the clinic, providing clinical support to families, clinical supervision to our staff, and an overall vision for how we support children and families in our communities.

The joy and wonder of living in the Mackay and Whitsunday region

Mackay and the Whitsundays offer the benefits of both coastal and country living, with beautiful beaches and national parks right on your doorstep – which is combined with the convenience of living in a growing regional city which has all the facilities, activities and services you can get in a larger city location, without the need for a long commute or ‘peak hour’ traffic.

    • 15 different beaches located within a 5-30 minute drive from the city heart, to indulge in beach walks, fishing, kite surfing or just foraging for shells.

    • Living in or visiting Airlie Beach, which is only 2 hours from Mackay, giving you easy access to any of the 74 islands of the Whitsundays where you can stay, snorkel, fish or bushwalk

    • Check out the Great Barrier Reef on a snorkelling or fishing tour, or in your own boat

    • Pack yourself up for a day of bushwalking at Eungella National Park or Cape Hillborough National Park, with exquisite views of the Pioneer Valley or the Coast

    • Grab a rod, handline or crab pot and go fishing in the Pioneer River, or one of the many creeks and estuaries around the region

    • Enjoy a walk, run or bike ride along the Mackay Bluewater Trail – a 21km shared pedestrian and bike path that explores local landmarks and public areas

    • Go for a swim in the Bluewater Lagoon, a free council run lagoon with swimming and water play activities

    • Dine and catch up with friends at any one of our eclectic locally owned cafes, restaurants or bars

    • Attending one of our local community events and festivals, including the Mackay Arts Festival, Party in the Park, or the Mayor’s Charity Ball

    • Join the crowd and community in any one of the variety of music and sporting festivals or events

    • Purchase tickets to watch headline acts, concerts, or attend exhibitions at the Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre (MECC)

    • Visit Artspace Mackay, a regional art gallery operated by Mackay Regional Council, or any one of the privately owned and run art galleries. You could even attend an art class run by our local artists which are held regularly.
